This listing is for a vintage Japanese kimono and obi combination.

The kimono is a furisode stye - formal and meant for a young unmarried woman with very long "butterfly" sleeves.  The silk is bright orange with a sayagata (diagonal cross pattern) and floral wreaths tone-on-tone jacquard.

The summer-style nagoya obi is a lightweight open-weave with a pattern of swirling water and momiji (maple leaves). Nagoya obi have a specialized shape - folded and sewn to a 6-7" width for the portion that wraps around the waist but left wide (13-14") for about one yard at the end which would be tied into an elaborate bow. The featured motif appears in this wide section with a smaller, modified aversion of it placed to appear at the front when the obi is tied.
