This listing is for a vintage Japanese kimono and obi combination.

The kimono is a lovely coral pink silk and features a tone-on-tone jacquard of rippling water. These single-color kimono - called iromuji - are often worn by tea ceremony practitioners because their subtle beauty adds gently to - rather than distracting from - the tea ceremony ritual. They may be worn for many similar occasions - any time where an understated elegance would be appreciated.

The obi fabric is a weave of florals in silver and coral that elevate the ensemble to a semi-formal level. The obi is a fukuro style but a single woven layer - unlined and unbacked - which makes it a bit easier to tie.

See the videos below to learn about obi and how to dress in kimono.
