This listing is for a vintage Japanese maru-style obi.  Maru are usually the most expensive version of an obi since they are 14" wide for the full length and patterned on both sides, even though one side will never be seen by the public. Maru obi are worn for the most formal occasions, such as weddings.

This obi features sweeping cranes in flight in front of various sensu (folding fans). The fan shapes include mums and other florals and garden motifs. The background is a light brown/ tan, with the cranes in black and cream. Purple, green, pink, and gold fill out the fans and mountains behind.

Unfortunately, there is a blemish, see last photo. This could be easily folded over when wearing and hard to notice as it blends with the overall color scheme.
