This listing is for a traditional fukuro style obi. 

This lovely, shimmering obi that seems to glow from within, with a silvery layer catching the light like frost over a morning sky. The patterned section features an allover mosaic of iridescent threads in soft pastel and cool winter tones, creating a fluid, abstract pattern that feels modern and timeless.

The "blank" area and backside are the same sparkling weave without the mosaic of colors mixed in. The sparkle and fine weaving make it a versatile styling piece for collectors, wearers, or textile lovers.

This is a fukuro obi - wide for the entire length, plain on the backside and a patterned design only on the front. There is a one yard "blank" section on the front, as is common with contemporary fukuro obi, where some cost can be saved by leaving it blank where the first wrap layer of the belt portion occurs, since it doesn't show to the public.
