A luxurious patchwork of color and pattern gives this vintage fukuro-style obi the appearance of a beautifully assembled tapestry. Angular sections of shimmering gold with burnt orange, rich brown, deep purple, black, and soft pink showcase an eclectic assortment of intricately woven floral medallions, scrolling arabesques, delicate botanical motifs, and repeating geometric patterns. The contrasting textures and metallic threads create a rich, layered effect, while a solid cream reverse provides a simple finish.

This is a fukuro obi - wide for the entire length, plain on the backside and a patterned design only on the front. There is a one yard "blank" section on the front, as is common with contemporary fukuro obi, where some cost can be saved by leaving it blank where the first wrap layer of the belt portion occurs, since it doesn't show to the public.
