We create our Japanique Tapestries by upcycling what we can when other sections of the garment are beyond repair or rescue. This listing is for a wall hanging tapestry made from a vintage obi belt.

Quiet and understated, this tapestry highlights a single flowering branch drifting across a warm, golden linen. The florals are delicately painted rather than woven, giving it the feel of a brushwork study. It comes ready to hang with a sturdy cardboard rod (formerly the cardboard core of a kimono fabric bolt) and cording - both easily removable and replaceable to suit your space. We included another rod at the bottom for added weight but can be removed.
