We create these tapestries by salvaging a portion of a kimono when other sections of the garment are beyond repair or rescue. This listing is for a wall hanging tapestry made from a woman's kimono. 

Soft color and texture come together in this tapestry, where layered pastels and florals create a sweet -- almost dreamlike -- scene. The design blends stenciled motifs with sections of puckered shibori, forming flowing bands of lavender, blush pink, and pale cream. Clusters of stylized chrysanthemum-like blooms drift across the surface, their rounded, repeating petals giving a gentle rhythm to the composition. These florals often symbolize longevity, renewal, and seasonal beauty, while the layered, wave-like color fields suggest landscapes or shifting seasons.

There are signs of age showing a few blemishes consistent with the textile's vintage origin, adding to its character and history, see last photo.
