We create these tapestries by salvaging a portion of a kimono when other sections of the garment are beyond repair or rescue. This listing is for a wall hanging tapestry made from the sleeve of a wedding kimono. 

Soft cream silk sets the stage for a graceful arrangement of snowflake shaped medallions, each filled with florals and stylized pine, drifting across the surface like snowflakes. Trailing cords connect the round motifs, adding to the feeling of movement. Rich embroidery and subtle gold accents bring dimension to the design, while the layered patterns within each medallion feel almost like miniature worlds. Pine represents longevity and endurance, and when paired with seasonal florals inside circular forms, it often suggests harmony, celebration, and the continuity of the seasons.

There are signs of age showing blemishes consistent with the textile's vintage origin, adding to its character and history, see last photo.
