This listing is for a traditional fukuro style obi. 

This refined fukuro obi pairs understated elegance with a touch of poetic artistry. The black background has a slight dark green tint compared to its more satin-like black backside.

Scattered blossoms in white and golden brown are woven here and there, evoking flowers drifting on a quiet evening breeze. On the backside end, the kanji inscription includes the name Kuniyuki-ori, a respected textile workshop, along with poetic calligraphy that emphasizes the maker's dedication to fine craftsmanship. This combination of subtle design and signed authenticity makes this obi both wearable and collectible.

This is a fukuro obi - wide for the entire length, plain on the backside and a patterned design only on the front. There is a one yard "blank" section on the front, as is common with contemporary fukuro obi, where some cost can be saved by leaving it blank where the first wrap layer of the belt portion occurs, since it doesn't show to the public.
