This listing is for a vintage Japanese haori (kimono jacket) that we modified slightly to allow for a roomier fit on larger frames. 

This haori jacket bursts with playful charm, covered in a field of stylized pinkish red and white mum-like blossoms that rest on curling green vines that meander across soft cream silk. The hand-drawn quality of the stenciled florals gives the garment a warm, vintage feel. Each flower shows a subtle variation in shading that adds personality and movement to each element. Light and easy to style as a versatile wardrobe layer.

As with many light-colored vintage garments, there is some light blemishing on the front sleeve (see last photo,) but it is hard to notice without looking closely.

In our Oki Haori Line (oki "big" in Japanese) of modified haori jackets, we open up the gusset and underarm seams and then re-attached them using every inch of the salvage seam edges. This yields up to additional inches in the waist, hip, and bust measurements.

Whereas unmodified haori tend to be narrower at the bust because the side gussets gradually narrow from waist to bust, our Oki Haori do not taper at the bust, which gives you more coverage in front. Compare your measurements to those given, keeping in mind that the measurements we give are the haori measurements, not a recommendation for the wearer's measurements.
