This listing is for a vintage obijime - the finishing touch for a kimono ensemble. Obijime are wound across the middle of the obi belt and tied with a decorative knot at the front.  It is a braided or woven cording, sometimes referred to as kumihimo with a color and design that complements the obi rather than matching the color. This obijime is an older, wider version that suggests it is older - possibly from the 1950s. It is a flat weave in a bright chartreuse green and cream color combination. The design is a dashed center stripe that is reversed in color on each side. This obijime comes with its original box for convenient storage.
