An elegant formal obi that is just as lovely worn with a formal kimono as it would be as a decor piece at a special party or event.

Artistically arranged rectangles, each completely filled with a traditional Japanese motif. Woven in an autumn palette, with a brick-colored background.

Unlike most fukuro obi that have a blank section, this obi is fully patterned on the front side.

This is a fukuro obi - wide for the entire length, plain on the backside and a patterned design only on the front. There is a one yard "blank" section on the front, as is common with contemporary fukuro obi, where some cost can be saved by leaving it blank where the first wrap layer of the belt portion occurs, since it doesn't show to the public.
