This listing is for a traditional vintage furisode kimono - the most formal, long-sleeved style created for a young, unmarried woman.  See below for more detail.

A lavish autumn garden unfolds across this luminous cream kimono, filled with sweeping grasses and long leaves, bamboo, and layered florals in orange, purple, pink, blue, green, and gold. Yuzen dyeing, gold leaf, and delicate couching bring richness to the intricate composition, while tall grasses and seasonal flowers evoke abundance, resilience, and the graceful changing of the seasons.

Minor signs of age are present, including light wear, minor spots, or subtle discoloration from age and use, see last photo(s).

Furisode are worn for formal events, such as Seijin-no-hi (Coming of Age Day, sometimes translated as Adults Day) in early January. Furisode are also worn for weddings, recitals, receptions, and other celebrations calling for formal attire. Note the long sleeves (furi = long, sode = sleeves) sometimes called "butterfly sleeves", which flow with grace when she gestures, attracting male attention!
