This listing is for a traditional vintage furisode kimono - the most formal, long-sleeved style created for a young, unmarried woman.  See below for more detail.

A sweep of cranes takes flight across this striking cobalt blue furisode, weaving through dramatic diagonal layers of white, lavender, soft green, pink, red, and shimmering gold. Wheels, folding fans, ship sails, florals, and richly patterned sections are accented with gold leaf, while the soaring cranes symbolize longevity, good fortune, and a bright future.

Signs of age are present, including light wear, minor spots, and subtle discoloration from age and use, see last photo(s).

Furisode are worn for formal events, such as Seijin-no-hi (Coming of Age Day, sometimes translated as Adults Day) in early January. Furisode are also worn for weddings, recitals, receptions, and other celebrations calling for formal attire. Note the long sleeves (furi = long, sode = sleeves) sometimes called "butterfly sleeves", which flow with grace when she gestures, attracting male attention!
