This listing is for a vintage Japanese iromuji kimono. Learn more about this type of kimono below.

Like a softly faded collage, this iromuji blends misty gray, blush pink, and pale yellow across an intricate woven jacquard. Overlapping squares with tattered, timeworn-looking edges drift across the silk, each revealing subtle designs including florals and fine geometric textures and giving the quiet palette surprising depth when it catches the light.

The lining is finished with soft moss-green shading along the lower edges, adding an unexpected touch of color that beautifully complements the muted pastel palette.

Iromuji kimono are traditionally designed in a single color, allowing the beauty of the fabric and craftsmanship to take center stage. Many feature a subtle woven pattern or tone-on-tone jacquard that adds quiet texture and elegance without distracting from their refined simplicity. This understated style makes iromuji especially well-suited for tea ceremony, where quiet refinement is essential.

The belt is not included, but if you'd like to wear or display this kimono with a traditional obi, browse our selection of OBI BELTS. Although it isn't traditional, if you'd like one of our simple cotton sashes to wear with this, we'll choose a complimenting color (see Add a Sash? above).
