This listing is for a set of five magnets covered with vintage Japanese kimono fabric - a great gift idea! Each magnet is actually a silk-covered button blank with a magnet attached on the back. 

This set features two magnets in a deep red with a woven floral pattern. Two others have fabric from the same remnant, - examples of the yuzen technique (evidenced by the white outlining of each motif) - and feature garden motifs. The last one is a stencil repeat in a dark olive green. (See videos below for how each technique is done.) 

These little gems combine fun and function, offering a Japanique twist for a teacher's whiteboard, a student's locker, or the home fridge. We love upcycling kimono fabric into "usable art", and they make great gifts, stocking stuffers, party favors...
