Quiet and striking, this deep blue michiyuki embraces a minimalist aesthetic with slender bamboo sweeping dramatically across the otherwise unadorned fabric. The bamboo is delicately painted in soft ivory, tan, and muted blue-green, its sparse leaves emphasizing the graceful height of the stalks. Bamboo is a traditional symbol of resilience, strength, and flexibility, making the restrained design especially meaningful. Inside, an ivory lining adds an unexpected flash of color with vivid red tatewaku, (rising steam), lines interspersed with delicate floral motifs.

Signs of age are present, including areas of fading and scattered blemishes, though most blend subtly into the deep blue fabric and can be difficult to notice without close inspection.
