Rich purple and silvery gray create a bold, graphic haori with a wonderful surprise hidden inside. The outer fabric is woven with dense streams of stylized pinwheel-like florals, their softly metallic gray threads creating a subtle shimmer against the saturated purple background.

Inside, an especially unusual lining features large orange fish swimming among lavish chrysanthemums, peonies, plum blossoms, and decorative roundels, giving the jacket a playful second personality. Fish traditionally carry associations with abundance, perseverance, and good fortune, making the dramatic lining as symbolic as it is unexpected.

A woman's haori is a traditional Japanese jacket worn over a kimono, designed to provide both warmth and an added layer of formality.
