This listing is for a vintage Japanese haori kimono jacket that has been embellished with a whimisical snowman by Taylor Faidley (see her bio below).

The base color is a blueish gray with a slightly textured woven design of leaves. It's not silk but has a more firm hand - perhaps a blend with a bit of wool?

While the imagery may not be traditionally Japanese, it makes for a playful update on an otherwise plain colored haori. 

Taylor Faidley is an up-and-coming young artist based in rural Pennsylvania. What might have started with crayon drawings covering the refrigerator soon became a calling that spans dozens of media. "I've pursued art for as long as I can remember. As a child I loved drawing pictures of my family. Now I work with a wide variety of materials: silk painting, acrylics, pencil drawing, digital design, felting, 3D art pieces - and now I'm painting on vintage kimono! I've always loved Japan and any kind of animation. I draw inspiration from anime and hope to be an animator myself one day.
