This listing is for an antique Japanese kimono made for a young girl to wear.

This lively silk kimono celebrates abundance with oversized hollyhock leaves that frame vibrant floral vignettes. Within each hollyhock, a garden bursts forth: flowing wisteria, grand peonies, bright irises, and more! The bold contrast of fuchsia and teal against the cream leaves creates a rhythm with a festive feel.

The fabric is a light summer ro silk, as you can see the open weave allows air to pass through.

As a bit of trivia, the hollyhock is the crest of the Tokugawa family, which is depicted in the television series Shogun.

Unfortunately, there are a few blemishes, see last photos, but it is still a standout piece for display.
