This listing is for a vintage Japanese kimono made for a young girl to wear to a formal event.

This vibrant formal girl's silk kimono features sweeping bands of kanoko (fawn spot) shibori and elegant yuzen floral bouquets tied with flowing noshi ribbons. Rich peonies, chrysanthemums, and seasonal blossoms symbolize prosperity, happiness, and long life, while the ceremonial noshi represent good fortune and joyful wishes for life's milestones. The bold scarlet, ivory, and emerald palette creates a striking heirloom piece that beautifully captures the festive spirit of traditional Japanese celebrations.

There are signs of age with a couple blemishes, but they are hard to see amongst the vivid colors, see last photo.

Vintage Japanese children's kimono make eye-catching displays in spaces too small to accommodate a full-sized kimono. We offer display rods (click the tab below) if you're going to display this kimono.
