A dragon emerges dramatically from swirling fields of smoky gray, moss green, and deep black -- its twisting body, fierce face, and golden eyes create a supernatural sense of movement across the lining. In Japanese symbolism, the dragon is a powerful guardian associated with strength, wisdom, protection, and mastery of water and the elements.

The outer jacket is classic black silk, finished with five wood sorrel family crests.

The lining of men's haori jackets often depict a scene or motif that was of special interest to the original owner. We often display these jackets inside out to show the lining, and they could be worn this way - inside out - as well; a style that is becoming trendy among Japanese youth.
