This listing is for a vintage Japanese haori jacket that would have been worn on top of a vintage kimono on a chilly day. It features shibori - Japanese tie-dye - and likely took weeks just to wrap the tiny bunches of fabric to create the pattern. This haori makes a sweet, feminine jacket to lighten up your day.  The background pink goes from a deep shade at the hem to a light pink at the shoulders. The pattern of a small tatch of bamboo appears at the backside hem, on the back right sleeve and the front left sleeve - this is typical asymmetric patterning for these types of haori.

Nice white silk lining.

Haori do not cross over or tie with a sash, like a kimono does - they are meant to be worn open to reveal a bit of what is worn beneath. An optional accessory is the haori himo - the little woven ties that are hooked to the little fabric loops that you'll find on at the mid-front of the haori - but they are sold separately.
