This listing is for one yard of fabric salvaged from a vintage Japanese kimono.

A drapey, smooth silk with a pattern of peony blossoms tucked in together against a deep orange background.  The shaded jeweltones of the petals offer a softness to the design.

The patterning was created with the yuzen technique - a time-consuming, pains-taking process that involves dozens of steps, dozens of artisans. See video below for how yuzen is done. It's fascinating.-----
