A beautiful complete set of four winter-themed art prints by Jirō Takidaira, preserved in the original presentation folder and wrappers. Rich colors, crisp printing, and Takidaira's signature paper-cut style bring these snowy Japanese village scenes to life, making this an attractive display set for collectors of Japanese art, folk art, and seasonal imagery.

This portfolio is the fourth volume of Japan's Four Seasons (Nihon no Shiki), a series of high-quality reproduction prints based on Jiro Takidaira's original kirie artworks. Featured images include a young girl carrying a lantern through falling snow, villagers gathering firewood in a winter landscape, children playing beneath snow-covered trees, and a woman holding a colorful traditional umbrella amid a snowfall. The prints beautifully capture the quiet atmosphere and nostalgic charm that made Takidaira's seasonal imagery so beloved.

Published in 1976. They are printed or mounted on thin cardboard with a thin gold border. The backside is speckled with Japanese writing that tells the title and artist's name.

Print Titles: Tea Picking, Autumn Field, Peony Snow, and Shouldering Firewood.

Jirō Takidaira (1921-2009) was one of Japan's most celebrated modern kirie (paper-cut art) artists. His distinctive style combines the bold black outlines of traditional paper cutting with vibrant colors and nostalgic depictions of rural Japanese life. Takidaira's work often focuses on seasonal landscapes, children, village traditions, and everyday scenes, creating images that feel both folk-art inspired and deeply connected to Japan's cultural heritage. His prints remain popular with collectors because they blend traditional craftsmanship with a warm, approachable modern aesthetic.
