This listing is for a contemporary (1980s or 90s) Japanese han (half-width) maru-style obi. Maru obi are the most formal style of obi with patterning on both sides (which makes it more expensive). Japanese obi make elegant table runners, mantle covers, or wall decor.

This obi features one side completely covered in a gold and white floral motif that just sings "formal"!  The weaving created a slight texture between the elements. Bright orange backside.

11' long and 8" wide. Excellent condition.
