This listing is for an antique Japanese kimono made for a young girl to wear.

This padded Japanese kimono dazzles with a lively collage of florals, each carrying rich cultural meaning. Bold chrysanthemums bloom across the surface, symbols of longevity and imperial elegance, while lush peonies represent prosperity and honor. Don't miss the plum blossoms and maple leaves that hint at seasonal beauty. The deep purple background sets off the bright oranges, soft lavenders, and fresh greens, giving the whole piece a vibrant yet refined energy. Look closely to find the lucky items scattered and hidden in the blossoms.

Although we cannot give a specific age to this kimono, its coloring, design, silk type and red lining suggest that it is from pre-war Japan, as early as the 1920s but likely before the 1940s.

Vintage Japanese children's kimono make eye-catching displays in spaces too small to accommodate a full-sized kimono. We offer display rods (click the tab below) if you're going to display this kimono.
