This listing is for a vintage Japanese haori (kimono jacket) that we modified slightly to allow for a roomier fit on larger frames. 

This Oki Haori is black with a design of embroidered leaves on the lower back and the back of the right sleeve.  Look closely to confirm those elements were embroidered by hand with a satin stitch. 

The three leaves are pink, blue and black, which seems an unusual choice since the haori itself is black. The fabric seems to be a medium-weight polyester with a smooth finish and a nice drape.

In our Oki Haori Line (oki means "big" in Japanese) of modified haori jackets, we open up the gusset and underarm seams and then re-attached them using every inch of the salvage seam edges. (See photo for detail.) This yields up to an additional 6" of width in the waist, hip, and bust measurements.

Whereas unmodified haori tend to be more narrow at the bust because the side gussets gradually narrow from waist to bust, our Oki Haori do not taper at the bust, which gives you more coverage in front. Compare your measurements to those given, keeping in mind that the measurements we give are the haori measurements, not a recommendation for the wearer's measurements.
