This listing is for a vintage Japanese kimono and obi combination.

The kimono is a lovely ocean blue color with a simple, subtle design of thin vertical bands in a golden brown and even thinner angled white lines. Look closely to see that those white lines have the fuzzy edges that are created with the ikat technique.  See the video below on how this is done. 

The obi is a hakata obi - a firm single layer with a woven pattern that is meant for a fairly casual event. A golden wheat color, it accents (but does not match) the golden bands of the kimono and elevates the ensemble to a slightly richer combination.

The obi is 14in wide for the entire 3-yard-plus length.
