This listing is for a traditional vintage furisode kimono - the most formal, long-sleeved style created for a young, unmarried woman.  See below for more detail.

A sweeping cascade of cherry blossoms rises across this vibrant crimson kimono, softening into blush pink along the hem for a dramatic yet beautifully balanced asymmetrical design. Beneath the colorful yuzen blossoms, a subtle woven jacquard of cherry blossoms creates a beautiful tone-on-tone pattern that shifts into view as the light catches the fabric. Blossoms in pink, purple, creamy yellow, and touches of green are finished with delicate gold leaf accents, celebrating the fleeting beauty and renewal traditionally associated with sakura.

Furisode are worn for formal events, such as Seijin-no-hi (Coming of Age Day, sometimes translated as Adults Day) in early January. Furisode are also worn for weddings, recitals, receptions, and other celebrations calling for formal attire. Note the long sleeves (furi = long, sode = sleeves) sometimes called "butterfly sleeves", which flow with grace when she gestures, attracting male attention!
