This listing is for a traditional underkimono (juban in Japanese) designed to be worn beneath a woman's kimono. 

Fresh and understated, this silk juban kimono features delicate bellflowers drifting across a soft white background with gentle shades of green and blush pink.  The floral design feels light and airy, while the silk gives it a smooth hand and subtle sheen. The over-collar is a subtle jacquard weave.

Underkimono make wonderful robes because they are cut shorter than outer kimono, so they do not have the extra length that is typically folded at the waist for traditional dressing. The lighter weight and streamlined shape make them easy to slip on and wear without added bulk. Perfect for the beach, poolside lounging, summer cover ups, or effortless layering at home or out and about.
