This listing is for a traditional underkimono (juban in Japanese) designed to be worn beneath a woman's kimono. 

A classic layer with meaningful detail. This juban features an off-white base with traditional motifs of clouds, pine, bamboo, mums, and plum blossoms in soft pink, green, and purple tones. Beautiful symbolism - pine for longevity, bamboo for strength and flexibility, plum blossoms for renewal, and mums for refinement and celebration.

Underkimono make wonderful robes because they are cut shorter than outer kimono, so they do not have the extra length that is typically folded at the waist for traditional dressing. The lighter weight and streamlined shape make them easy to slip on and wear without added bulk. Perfect for the beach, poolside lounging, summer cover ups, or effortless layering at home or out and about.
