This listing is for a traditional underkimono (juban in Japanese) designed to be worn beneath a woman's kimono. 

Bold and bright, this juban features the traditional asanoha (star hemp leaf) pattern in vibrant coral over a white background. The repeating geometric design creates a strong visual impact while maintaining clean symmetry across the garment. Made from easy care polyester, it is lightweight and practical for everyday wear. The over-collar is a solid white, but does show signs of discoloration, so it could be easily removed for cleaning or possibly reversed and restitched.

Underkimono make wonderful robes because they are cut shorter than outer kimono, so they do not have the extra length that is typically folded at the waist for traditional dressing. The lighter weight and streamlined shape make them easy to slip on and wear without added bulk. Perfect for the beach, poolside lounging, summer cover ups, or effortless layering at home or out and about.
