This listing is for a traditional underkimono (juban in Japanese) designed to be worn beneath a woman's kimono. 

Light, breathable, and beautifully understated, this juban features a white open-weave fabric with delicate eyelet style detailing throughout. The pattern is a type of floral or foliage that connects with thin curling lines. The airy construction is ideal for warm weather layering.

There are also signs of age with slight discoloration on one sleeve, see last photo.

Underkimono make wonderful robes because they are cut shorter than outer kimono, so they do not have the extra length that is typically folded at the waist for traditional dressing. The lighter weight and streamlined shape make them easy to slip on and wear without added bulk. Perfect for the beach, poolside lounging, summer cover ups, or effortless layering at home or out and about.
