This listing is for a vintage Japanese haori (kimono jacket) that we modified slightly to allow for a roomier fit on larger frames. 

This vintage jacket makes an instant impact with its deep wine-red background covered in energetic, overlapping lighter red lines that create an abstract web across the entire surface. The pattern feels like windblown reeds or grasses, giving the fabric movement and depth. Look closely to see the artistic design touch as the grasses grow more densely from the bottom of the garment.

In our Oki Haori Line (oki means "big" in Japanese) of modified haori jackets, we open up the gusset and underarm seams and then re-attached them using every inch of the salvage seam edges. This yields up to additional inches in the waist, hip, and bust measurements.

Whereas unmodified haori tend to be narrower at the bust because the side gussets gradually narrow from waist to bust, our Oki Haori do not taper at the bust, which gives you more coverage in front. Compare your measurements to those given, keeping in mind that the measurements we give are the haori measurements, not a recommendation for the wearer's measurements.
