This listing is for a vintage Japanese haori jacket that would have been worn on top of a vintage kimono on a chilly day.  

This striking woman's haori jacket features bold floating hazy clouds in red and soft gold across a cream background. Within the clouds are fine line drawings of momiji (maple leaves) and grasses, symbolizing the beauty of autumn. Look closely to see the tone-on-tone jacquard of larger maple leaves which shimmer gently in the background.

As with many light-colored vintage garments, there is a light blemish on the back, see last photo. 

Haori do not cross over or tie with a sash, like a kimono does - they are meant to be worn open to reveal a bit of what is worn beneath. An optional accessory is the haori himo - little woven ties that are hooked to the little fabric loops that you'll find at the mid-front of the haori - but they are sold separately.
