This listing is for a vintage Japanese kimono, obi, and obijime combination.

This elegant kimono is adorned with small motifs - pine, bamboo, folding fans and, most notably, imperial carriages called sagabon-guruma. Deep teal green sets the backdrop for the motifs which were painted in soft pastels, giving an ephemeral feeling of bygone nobility. The minimalism of their size and placement suggests this kimono is semi-formal and used for elegant occasions.

The obi matches the softness in the kimono with pastel hills and gleaming momiji (maple leaves) that create very poetic scenery. This is a fukuro obi - wide for the entire length, plain on the backside and a patterned design only on the front. There is a one yard "blank" section on the front, as is common with contemporary fukuro obi, where some cost can be saved by leaving it blank where the first wrap layer of the belt portion occurs, since it doesn't show to the public.

The obijime is a round braid that alternates soft green and light brown.
