Charming set of three Jirō Takidaira seasonal art prints from the celebrated Japan's Four Seasons series, complete with the original presentation folder. Rich autumn colors, elegant paper-cut inspired designs, and Takidaira's nostalgic rural imagery make this an attractive display set for collectors of Japanese art, folk art, and vintage illustration.

This is Volume 3 of Jirō Takidaira's beloved Japan's Four Seasons (Nihon no Shiki) series. The original portfolio contained four prints, but unfortunately this group has only includes three. The surviving images beautifully showcase Takidaira's iconic kirie (paper-cut) style, with bold graphic forms, vivid seasonal colors, and nostalgic scenes drawn from traditional Japanese life. These are quality art reproductions produced from Takidaira's original works, not original hand-cut artworks or original prints.

Published in 1976. They are printed or mounted on thin cardboard with a thin gold border. The backside is speckled with Japanese writing that tells the title and artist's name.

Print Titles: Nozaki Ballad, Autumn Sunset, Chrysanthemums (the missing print is Winter Has Come)

Jirō Takidaira (1921-2009) was one of Japan's most celebrated modern kirie (paper-cut art) artists. His distinctive style combines the bold black outlines of traditional paper cutting with vibrant colors and nostalgic depictions of rural Japanese life. Takidaira's work often focuses on seasonal landscapes, children, village traditions, and everyday scenes, creating images that feel both folk-art inspired and deeply connected to Japan's cultural heritage. His prints remain popular with collectors because they blend traditional craftsmanship with a warm, approachable modern aesthetic.
