We have shortened a women's vintage kimono to create this Japanique Boutique Robe to an easy-to-wear 45 inches. A bold balance of structure and softness, this kimono robe draws the eye with its ikat woven grid  --  where the threads were resist-dyed before being woven which creates blurred edges on each element. The black background is covered by brick red and soft white lines and shapes that feel graphic yet organic, a combination of mid-century and traditional Japanese design.

A few blemishes at the hem (see last photos,) speak to its vintage history without distracting from its strong visual impact.
