This listing is for an underkimono - called a "juban" in Japanese - which would be worn under a man's kimono. Juban often feature designs that reflect the interests of their owner but are rarely seen in public since they are layered underneath a kimono. Just in inch or two of the over-collar is visible, though you may catch a glimpse of the sleeve edge at the wrist. Juban make great casual robes.

This juban features layered bands with wavy edges filled with small repeat geometric motifs including diamonds, squares, seigaiha (overlapping waves), hexagons or tortoise shells, faux shibori, and plaid. Subtle earthtone shades of primarily greens and grays with some blue and yellow accents.

The over-collar is black, and the juban is unlined. The fabric is a lightweight wool blend - not scratchy. 

There is a small blemish on the front sleeve corner, but still in excellent wearing condition.

This kimono does not come with an obi/belt/sash but we do make simple cotton sashes that can be added as an option when you order. We will choose a color that goes well with it.
