This cotton kimono may look like a yukata, but it is actually called a nemaki and is meant for at-home use.  They are also offered as robes at spas and hotels. Nemaki differ from yukata in that they are shorter, in a softer cotton, have narrow sleeves, are often lined in white cotton gauze, and might even have a pocket.

This nemaki robe features a motif called kiku tsukushi which translates to "all kinds of chrysanthemums". We especially love the wavy chains of mums that meander down the length of the kimono, tying the design together. Classic indigo blue on white.

Nemaki can be worn with a casual sash or even styled with a contemporary belt of scarf. We offer a simple cotton sash that can be added to your order by clicking the option above. We'll choose a color that goes with or contrasts nicely with the nemaki.
