This listing is for a vintage Japanese wedding kimono (uchikake). An uchikake is draped over top of a kakeshita kimono, left open without an obi, and has a padded at the hem as it was once meant to trail across the floor behind the bride. 

The gold in this kimono seems to shimmer as if catching the morning light, or perhaps the reflection of the evening sunset.  The silver and gold pine bough motif floats in front of golden clouds, and both pop dramatically against that rich red background.   What a dazzling display this one will make.
