This listing is for a vintage Japanese haori jacket that would have been worn on top of a vintage kimono on a chilly day.  

This refined woman's haori jacket features a serene design of drifting kumo (clouds) across a soft blush-beige background. The clouds are woven in beautiful metallics - silver, gold, and crimson red. It looks to us like the sky at dawn or a perhaps sunset breaking through the clouds. Tranquil and artistic! The single crest at the back is a lightly stitched butterfly.

As with many light-colored vintage garments, there are a few blemishes on the back, see last photos. The blemishes are very light, so they are hard to see from a distance.

Haori do not cross over or tie with a sash, like a kimono does - they are meant to be worn open to reveal a bit of what is worn beneath. An optional accessory is the haori himo - little woven ties that are hooked to the little fabric loops that you'll find at the mid-front of the haori - but they are sold separately.
