This listing is for one yard of fabric salvaged from a vintage Japanese kimono.

This striking lightweight panel combines bold geometric energy with traditional ikat weaving. The single ikat weave creates beautifully feathered edges in vivid coral, cobalt, and charcoal, forming an abstract diamond lattice pattern that feels both tribal-inspired and distinctly mid-century modern. The blurred transitions and irregular symmetry are hallmarks of ikat weaving, where the threads are dyed prior to weaving to create a painterly, almost vibrating effect that symbolizes movement, craftsmanship, and individuality. The airy linen blend gives the fabric a crisp drape and natural texture.

Signs of age may be present, including light wear, small marks, or subtle variations consistent with vintage textiles.

Great for piecework, especially when combined with other vintage kimono remnants.
