This listing is for a full sampler bolt with 17 different designs in very vintage colors.  Teh designs in each section were made with katagami stencils - see video below for how these are made. Each section is approximately 14" long and 14.5" wide.

The patterning is mostly small, traditional motifs, including various geometrics, florals, and folding fans. Retro colors, and some do repeat in multiple sections. 

These sampler bolts were created by kimono companies to showcase new designs and colors that would be available in the next season. In fact, a salesman would visit a kimono tailor and leave these bolts to show to customers. This was common practice through the 1960s, but these sampler bolts are quite hard to find these days.

There may be slight blemishes on the lighter backgrounds but in general this bolt is in excellent condition. The name of the kimono design house is written in kanji on the end panel of the bolt.
