This listing is for a full sampler bolt with 14 different designs in vintage colors. Each panel was patterned with a katagami stencil; the length of each section is approximately 15" long and 13" wide.

The patterning is mostly small, traditional motifs, including various geometrics and florals that were created with series of dots. Beautiful assortment of colors. Some of the colors do repeat among the different panels. 

These sampler bolts were created by kimono companies to showcase new designs and colors that would be available in the next season. In fact, a salesman would visit a kimono tailor and leave these bolts to show to customers. This was common practice through the 1960s, but these sampler bolts are quite hard to find these days.

There may be slight blemishes on the lighter backgrounds but in general this bolt is in excellent condition. The name of the kimono design house is written in kanji on the end panel of the bolt.
