This listing is for a dochugi-style vintage kimono jacket, which crosses over in the kimono style (unlike the haori style which hangs open in the front). But instead of needing an obi, it closes with inner and outer ties, which can be tied loosely to allow for a more generous fit. Where haori are best for up to a size 12, dochugi can fit up to a size 16+.

This dochugi is unlined - likely for summer or warmer weather - and is much longer (49") than we usually see. It seems to be a dark, dark blue - nearly black - raw silk with tiny woven crosses that form triangles that are arranged to create a pinwheel pattern.  The little crosses were woven in a rainbow of colors (purple, green, pink, yellow, blue). 

Matching fabric ties close the jacket on the right hip. The inside has two ties instead of one to accommodate the extra length.

Please note that the measurement given for the waist/hips is the full, end-to-end measurement around the middle. The ties can usually add 3-4 more inches of coverage depending on how tightly or loosely they are tied.
