This listing is for a vintage Japanese haori jacket that would have been worn on top of a vintage kimono on a chilly day.  

This graceful woman's haori jacket features an all-over floral pattern in a soothing palette of lavender, mint, blush pink, cream, and soft blue against an olive brown-green background. Look closely to see the overall speckling in the dye work that seems to suggest a light rain or misty morning. The design feels like a spring garden, rendered in gentle pastels that create a warmth and refinement.

There are a few blemishes, see last photos. The blemishes blend in well with the colors of the jacket, so they are hard to see from a distance.

Haori do not cross over or tie with a sash, like a kimono does - they are meant to be worn open to reveal a bit of what is worn beneath. An optional accessory is the haori himo - little woven ties that are hooked to the little fabric loops that you'll find at the mid-front of the haori - but they are sold separately.
