This listing is for an underkimono - called a "juban" in Japanese - which would be worn under a man's kimono. Juban often feature designs that reflect the interests of their owner but are rarely seen in public since they are layered underneath a kimono. Just in inch or two of the over-collar is visible, though you may catch a glimpse of the sleeve edge at the wrist. Juban make great casual robes.

This vintage men's underkimono hums with rhythmic charm, featuring sky blue and cream stripes adorned with lucky bells and arrow feathers. The bells, symbols of good fortune and festivity, alternate with stylized ya-no-hane (arrow fletching) that represent courage and direction. The design captures the energy of motion and sound of festival music woven into cloth. Lightweight cotton with no lining.

This kimono does not come with an obi/belt/sash, but we do make simple cotton sashes that can be added as an option when you order. We will choose a color that goes well with it.
