This listing is for a set of five magnets covered with vintage Japanese kimono fabric - a great gift idea! Each magnet is actually a silk-covered button blank with a magnet attached on the back. 

This set features motifs all from the same piece fabric in shades of green, blue, and pops of red. The designs are depictions of a traditional Japanese countryside scene including trees, florals, and flowing water. Made with the yuzen technique. (See videos below for how this technique is done.) 

These little gems combine fun and function, offering a Japanique twist for a teacher's whiteboard, a student's locker, or the home fridge. We love upcycling kimono fabric into "usable art", and they great gifts, stocking stuffers, party favors...
